Child support, other factors could impact Washington finances

The financial aspects of divorce proceedings may be a main focus for many Washington residents. Finances can be affected by legal costs, alimony, property division and child support, if the couple have children. Determining just how a person will be affected financially may seem difficult to conclude, but there are legal professionals who may be able to help parties when it comes to support amounts and other factors.

Jeremy Renner likely sought such assistance after his wife of 10 months filed for divorce. Sonni Pacheco filed for divorce from her actor husband due to irreconcilable differences. The couple has one child together, a 2-year-old girl, of whom they will be sharing custody. There apparently had been some initial concern from Renner that Pacheco may try to leave the country with the little girl.

As part of their divorce agreements, Renner will be paying child support to Pacheco in the amount of $13,000 a month. Their terms reportedly went on to state that if the actor makes over a certain amount of income during a year, an additional 5 percent would be added to his monthly payments. It was mentioned that Renner will be maintaining ownership of most of his property.

Because there are various proceedings and agreements that can come along with divorce, it is not unusual for individuals to feel overwhelmed. Luckily, there are professionals who may be able to help Washington residents who wish to move forward with confidence. Consulting with their legal counsel could help interested parties determine which routes may work best for them and what the financial impacts could be for certain terms concerning child support and other aspects.
