Before receiving her law degree, Katherine worked as a legal assistant for a well-established and experienced family law/divorce lawyer in Everett for about seven years. Katherine enjoyed helping people as a family law legal assistant so much—she became a lawyer! Katherine received admittance to the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) in 2012. She then worked for another well-known, established and experienced Everett family law/divorce lawyer and mediator for about two years before Katherine started her own family law practice in 2016. Katherine began working for Akiona Law in Fall, 2019 and officially joined the firm in January 2020.
Attorney Katherine Peterson brings 14 years of family law and divorce legal experience to Akiona Law. First, as a legal assistant; and, now as a family law and divorce lawyer. Based on Katherine’s many of years of legal experience, she is experienced in facing the unique challenges when dealing with a narcissist or someone who suffers from a high conflict personality disorder in a custody dispute. Katherine can also confidently assist you in your high asset divorce or legal separation.
